Project: 2 Parrot Head Lane, Charleston, SC

We hired architect Shelley Clark-Glidewell to design our home we built ten years ago. I’d always heard it was better to have an architect draw the plans, rather than buying plans online or hiring a draftsmen. Hiring an architect comes with a cost but not a week goes by that I don’t think about one aspect of our home or another that we just LOVE! We could have never gotten the home we have without Shelley. She suggested ideas that we never considered. She listened to our ideas and worked them into the plan. Our home has been an amazing place for our daughters to grow up in. ALWAYS USE AN ARCHITECT! And if you can, use Shelley!

Projects: 21 Montague Street & 12 Sayle Road, Charleston, SC

I have worked with Shelley on 2 renovations within the last 13 years.  One project was of a historic downtown Charleston property, the other a 1950's home which included a renovation and addition.  As a busy mother of 3 young children during the projects, I counted on Shelley not only through the design process but throughout the entire project, start to finish.  Shelley was always professional and showed her extensive knowledge throughout all phases of the design and construction.  With me being excited about both projects, Shelley always made sure my wants and needs as a client came first.  She excels at working with her clients and insuring they are excited about the final outcome.  I look forward to working with Shelley, Clark-Glidewell/Architect, again in the near future.

Projects: 13 Water Street, 109 Queen Street, 69 King Street, Charleston, SC

We have worked with Shelley for nearly 15 years, on two historic home renovation projects and consulted with her on two smaller renovations of a historic home and a condominium unit.  We have always found Shelley to be excellent to work with and capable of managing the complexities of historic property renovations, as well as unique personal taste preferences that can drive architects and contractors to distractions.  Shelley is very knowledgeable with respect to the nuances and idiosyncrasies of historic houses and historic preservation.  She was indispensable in representing our projects with the local zoning and Charleston Board of Architectural Review.  Her knowledge of the evolution of building materials and techniques was critical in accurately representing our interests with the city authorities .  We have recommended Clark-Glidewell/Architectto many potential clients and have volunteered to show our house as an example her work.  We continue to recommend her highly and would most certainly work with her again should we launch any new project in the future.
